The tuition at nursing programs can vary wildly. On average, most community college and junior university programs average between twelve and fifteen dollars per credit. These programs charge by the course, and are generally cheaper than the four year programs.
If one is going for an advanced undergraduate degree, a bachelors of science for example, then costs are much greater, but then again, so are the opportunities. Four year schools can cost at least three thousand dollars a year when considered in state and attending a public university. Private nursing programs can double, triple, or even go higher than this depending on the campus. Don't discount a school just because of tuition, but do ask yourself if the extra money truly makes it worth it.
